If you look at the comments to my "STILL NEED HELP" post, you'll find these. For some reason people have posted there about a recount in Ohio.
They are re-counting Ohio. Kerry still has a chance
Carie is really on the leading edge of this situation as it develops. Most other websites are not mentioning it."
Well, after reading the political stuff/arguments/verbal flogging/internet flaming going on , on Rob's Wendy's and other's sites, I made one political statement, one peaceful statement, and then I promised myself to keep out of the arguments, because well, it was just plain stressing me out too much. I am a relatively quiet, peaceful person, and I truly dislike arguing and nastiness, in person or over the web, especially over something as dumb as having a different opinion.
ANYWAY, so I found it kind of interesting that this popped up on my BLOG of all BLOGs. Rob's is certainly much more political than mine, why not his? And then I was even more surprised to be told that I was on the leading edge of the political situation.
Well, here's what I have to say and then I'll move on. Very interesting, and kinda cool, but I'm not too hopeful that anything will come of it. While I definitely remain unhappy about this year's election results, I pretty much have moved on. Political happenings and arguments aren't in my conversations anymore, I don't think about it all as much, and well, I guess I'm just trying to learn to live with a stinky situation. Hopefully I and the rest of the world can get through the next 4 years relatively peacefully.
So while I thank those for providing me with the interesting information, I just thought it funny to be considered ultra-political enough to receive this news as comments when all I really wanted was advice on a wedding gift.
Which by the way is tomorrow and I have decided to go with good old cash. A little impersonal, and not really what I wanted to give, but hopefully it will be the most useful for the Bride and Groom to purchase what they really want and need.
And on that note, time to relax and wind down before bedtime. It's actually pretty late for me; I was watching Chicago. I LOVED that movie. Have a good night all. :)
